VLADIMIR PUTIN: PRESIDENT'S LUXURIOUS LIFESTYLE REVEALED

Vladimir Putin

Vladimir Putin

is notorious for being one of the world's most powerful leaders.
But his lifestyle has always been shrouded in mystery with no one able to pin down exactly how much cash the Russian top dog had.

Several commentators, including Russian government advisor Stanislav Belkovsky, have estimated his net worth at between £20 billion and £40 billion in recent years.
But a shock claim made by a former Russian fund manager puts his total fortune at a whopping £160 billion.

This would make him nearly twice as rich as the supposed "richest man in the world" Bill Gates, who only has £70 million.

Bill Browder, who worked in Russia for a number of years said: "I believe that [Putin is worth] $200 billion (£160 billion)."

"After 14 years in power of Russia, and the amount of money that the country has made, and the amount of money that hasn't been spent on schools and roads and hospitals and so on, all that money is in property, bank, Swiss bank accounts, shares, hedge funds, managed for Putin and his cronies."
the Black Sea

Over his time in office, Putin has managed to collect a vast portfolio of expensive properties.
The most lavish of his presidential pads is his palace on the Black Sea with a reported price tag of $1 billion (£800 million).

The palace allegedly includes a private theatre, a landing pad with bays for three helicopters, and accommodation for security guards.

And if the rumours are true, the Black Sea manse isn’t Putin’s only palace.

He enjoys 20 houses, four yachts, 58 aircraft, and a collection of watches worth £400,000, according to a scandalous dossier drawn up by a former deputy prime minister in 2012.

Boris Nemstov. the author of the dossier, said: “In a country where 20 million people can barely make ends meet, the luxurious life of the president is a brazen and cynical challenge to society from a high-handed potentate.”
